China visa requirements for Nigerian citizens

Documents For China Visa

As a Nigerian, here are the required documents you must submit to the Chinese consulate during the application process.

Invitation Letter: If a Chinese host has invited you, they must send an invitation letter authorized by the local government where they are located in China. The letter must contain a stamp from the local government and show your name, purpose for the trip, passport number, and details about the host.

Application Form: A duly filled and signed visa applications form showing your details and purpose for your visit. Ensure that your details are accurate, or your application will be denied.

Passport: A valid passport showing a minimum validity of at least 6 months from the date of application. Nigerian passports that expire in less than 6 months will not be accepted at the consulate.

Introduction Letter: For work visas, your employer in China must issue an introduction letter printed on their letterhead. The letter must show your job title, travel date, and other important details.

Bank Statement: A bank statement for the last 6 months showing a minimum balance. The statement must be printed and signed by the bank.

Flight Booking: A copy of a flight reservation for the return trip back to China. The copy must show the arrival and departure dates which have to match the information on your application.

Hotel Reservation: A copy of the hotel reservation where you plan to stay in China. If it is a residential property, provide the address.

How To Apply For A Chinese Visa?

Nigerians are not allowed to apply for a China visa online, so they must visit the embassy in Abuja or Nigeria to submit their application form and documents. Arrange all documents in an orderly fashion and submit them for processing. An interview date will be set for you, and the interviewer will check your documents carefully and ask questions about your trip. After a few weeks, you will be informed about the status of your application. Successful applicants will be invited to collect their visas in person.
