Prague’s summer 2026 flight map grows to 183 direct destinations
Prague Airport has published its full summer timetable, revealing the broadest network of direct connections in the hub’s history. Between late March and 24 October 2026 travellers will be able to fly non-stop from the Czech capital to 183 destinations on 77 different airlines—fifteen more cities than last year and a 6 percent jump in overall seat capacity. Long-haul links headline the expansion. American Airlines restores its Prague–Philadelphia service on 21 May, re-establishing an important one-stop gateway to 100-plus US destinations via the carrier’s east-coast hub. In August, Taiwan’s premium carrier STARLUX will make Prague its first European port of call, launching three-weekly flights to Taipei that analysts say could carry 95,000 passengers in year one and strengthen semiconductor-sector ties between Czechia and Taiwan. Closer to home, Ryanair, Eurowings and EasyJet have added frequencies to Mediterranean holiday hotspots such as Malaga, Paphos and Dubrovnik, while Czech low-cost Smartwings is boosting seat supply on Tel Aviv and Dubai to capture VFR (visiting-friends-and-relatives) demand. Business travellers will welcome extra early-morning rotations on the busy Frankfurt, Amsterdam and London Heathrow shuttles—critical for same-day European meetings. The wider route map reflects shifting post-pandemic travel patterns. Geopolitical tensions in the Middle East are crimping capacity to Israel and Lebanon, pushing fares to Asia and Oceania higher, whereas North-American demand is surging on a strong US dollar. Prague Airport’s commercial director Jakub Puchalský said the goal is to balance growth with resilience: “By diversifying airlines and regions we reduce the risk that any single market shock grounds the recovery.” For corporate-mobility teams the message is twofold. First, book early: several carriers have already trimmed late-season frequencies because of aircraft-delivery delays and pilot shortages. Second, check visa- and ETIAS-readiness for employees heading to new markets such as Taipei; lead-times for Taiwanese work permits remain at 6–8 weeks.

At this point, it’s worth remembering that navigating the mosaic of entry rules can be time-consuming; VisaHQ’s Czech portal (https://www.visahq.com/czech-republic/) streamlines the process by providing up-to-date visa, ETIAS and work-permit support for more than 200 jurisdictions, handling paperwork, appointments and courier logistics so travellers can focus on booking the right flight.

Overall, however, the broadened network strengthens Prague’s case as a Central-European base for regional headquarters, cutting connection times and overnight costs across three continents.
