Pandemic related entry guidelines require all Indonesian visa applicants obtain approval from the Directorate General of Immigration in Indonesia. This approval will need to be coordinated with the appropriate Indonesian Diplomatic Mission in your area. Once approval is gained TELEX information will then need to be provided to the applicant and sent to the consulate or embassy. Citizens of Pakistan must obtain an approval from the authorities in Indonesia prior to applying for a visa. To obtain an approval please follow the following instructions:
Additional required documents for minors (under 18):
- Birth Certificate. A NOTARIZED copy of the applicant's birth certificate.
- Letter of Consent. A NOTARIZED letter of consent signed by both parents, specifying who will be traveling with the child and authorizing the Consulate to issue a visa to the child.
There are restricted regions in Indonesia. The four regions are: Maluku, Poso, and Irian Jaya/West Papua. Applicants seeking to visit the restricted regions must obtain special authorization from Indonesian authorities.
1. Contact your sponsor or counterpart in Indonesia – this could be a hotel, travel agent or an individual – to pursue the Authorization (Otorisasi) at the Clearing House of the Department of Foreign Affairs or with Indonesian Immigration.
2. Once the Authorization has been approved, the original will be sent to the Indonesian Embassy or Consulate nearest to you – to apply with VisaHQ it must be sent to the Embassy in Washington DC. A Notification (Pemberitahuan) of the approval is sent to your sponsor in Indonesia. Your sponsor needs to send this document to you to present with your application.
