Applying For Turkey Visa For Armenians

All Armenians who wish to visit Turkey must apply for a Turkish visa for long or short stays. There are two application routes depending on the type of visa you wish to apply for.

Long Stay Visas

A long stay visa is one that comes with a resident permit. This visa is issued to international students schooling in Turkey with ordinary passport holders, expatriates working for Turkish or international firms, business persons, family members, and dependents. To apply for a long stay visa, you need to go the conventional route by applying directly to the Turkish embassy in Yerevan.

Holders of a long stay valid visa can then approach the Ministry of the Interior once they enter Turkey to request a resident permit. If they want to engage in any paid work, part time or full time, they also need to apply for a work permit.

Resident permits sized to Armenians may be temporary or permanent; the former is renewable every few years.

Short Stay Visas

The short stay Turkey tourist visa is also the E-visa issued by the government of Turkey. This document was introduced in 2013 to simplify the application process for short stays. Short stay E-visas are processed online, so you don’t have to visit the Turkish embassy to apply for it.

All you have to do is log onto the E-visa portal, apply for the visa, provide a valid email address and enter your information. You can complete this application using your phone or laptop.
