Applications open for 2026 Commonwealth Master’s Scholarships in the UK—Indian graduates urged to apply

The Ministry of Education (MoE) released a notification on the evening of 16 April 2026 inviting Indian citizens to submit nominations for the **2026 Round of the Commonwealth Master’s Scholarship** programme in the United Kingdom. The scholarship—funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office—covers full tuition, a monthly living stipend, return airfares and, in some STEM fields, a research allowance. India traditionally receives one of the largest quotas under the scheme, but competition is intense: last year just 126 candidates were shortlisted from more than 4,500 applications routed through the MoE portal.
