A visa is not required for this destination.

Visitors holding a valid visa or permanent residency from any of the following countries: United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, European Union, Singapore, Japan or South Korea which has been used at least once to enter those countries, do not require a visa for a stay of up to 30 days. Duration of stay can be extended through the Immigration Service of Panama for an additional 60 days.

Travelers should produce a COVID-19 negative certificate, which has been taken within 48 hours before their arrival, or should take a COVID-19 test upon arrival.

You are forbidden to visit Panama if you had visited South Africa or United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in the preceding 20 days.

    • First, check the current validity of your passport.

    • Second, make sure your passport has blank Visa pages.

    • Confirm if transit visa is required for any connections.

      Check with your airline in case you have connecting flights overseas as part of your journey to Panama. It may be the case that countries you pass through en route to your destination may require a separate transit visa. Please refer to visa requirements of the specific country

      Panama COVID-19 travel restrictions

      • Entry is partially open
        International flights to and from Panama have resumed. All land and sea borders are closed.
        Entry is not allowed for travelers who have spent time in the UK, South Africa or any country in South America, in the 15 days before arrival.
        Prior to arrival restrictions
        Valid passport. Valid national passport with at least 6 month remaining validity after the date of departure.
        Valid visa. Please see the instructions above if you need visa and apply.
        Negative COVID-19 test no older than 48 hours before arrival.
        It is also possible to be tested upon arrival, at the cost of $50 USD, vaccinated travelers are exempt. The test result must be in English or Spanish.

        Upon arrival restrictions
        🏠Quarantine is required if arriving with a positive result and take another test. A second positive result will require additional 7 days of quarantine.
