TurboJET adjusts Macao–Shenzhen and Zhuhai ferry schedules for Chinese New Year

TurboJET adjusts Macao–Shenzhen and Zhuhai ferry schedules for Chinese New Year
Cross-border ferry operator TurboJET has announced temporary service reductions on its key routes linking Macao, Shenzhen Airport and Zhuhai during the Chinese New Year peak. According to the 12 February notice, the Macao Outer Harbour–Shenzhen Airport sailing at 19:15 and the return leg at 17:45 will be suspended on 16 February (New Year’s Eve).

Separately, multiple evening sailings between Zhuhai’s Jiuzhou Port and Hong Kong Sheung Wan/Kowloon will be cancelled on 16 and 17 February, including the 18:00, 19:30 and 20:40 departures. The company attributes the cuts to anticipated low demand as travellers stay home for reunion dinners and to berth-allocation constraints at ports conducting holiday security drills.

If the altered sailings require you to adjust visas or travel permits at short notice, VisaHQ can help streamline the paperwork. The platform offers online China visa applications, document pickup and real-time status tracking, making it easier to keep plans on track despite schedule changes—see https://www.visahq.com/china/ for details.

Business travellers transiting via Shenzhen’s Bao’an International Airport should note that the last ferry to Macao on 16 February will depart at 15:30, forcing late-arriving passengers to arrange cross-border buses or stay overnight in Guangdong. Mobility managers with time-sensitive movements of gaming, aviation or MICE personnel are advised to rebook staff onto earlier sailings or switch to the Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macao Bridge shuttle.

Ferry frequencies will resume normal patterns from 18 February, but TurboJET warns that first-day morning sailings often sell out quickly. Electronic ticket holders must still complete exit formalities at least 15 minutes before boarding; failure to do so may void seats without refund. The operator’s app has been updated with push alerts for further Lunar New Year schedule changes.
