LOT Polish Airlines Adds Brussels, Oslo and Bergen to Gdańsk Network

LOT Polish Airlines Adds Brussels, Oslo and Bergen to Gdańsk Network
Poland’s flag-carrier LOT is betting on growing regional demand by unveiling three year-round routes from Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport to Brussels, Oslo and Bergen. Tickets went on sale on 10 December, with inaugural flights set for 29 April 2026 (Brussels and Oslo) and 30 April 2026 (Bergen). The expansion follows LOT’s earlier announcement of a Gdańsk–Istanbul link launching in January.

Brussels is the headline addition: the four-times-weekly service will give Northern Poland’s business community direct access to EU institutions, NATO headquarters and hundreds of corporate regional offices, cutting travel time by at least two hours compared with connections via Warsaw. Oslo (five-times-weekly) and Bergen (three-times-weekly) target the large Polish diaspora in Norway as well as North Sea energy contractors.

Whether travelers are jetting to Belgium or Norway, ensuring the right travel documents are in place is crucial. VisaHQ’s Poland portal (https://www.visahq.com/poland/) streamlines visa and passport services for both corporate mobility teams and individual passengers, offering quick online applications, real-time status tracking, and dedicated customer support—ideal for companies now planning trips on these new LOT routes.

For corporate mobility teams the new routes offer more non-stop options for assignees based in the Tri-City area, reducing reliance on Warsaw or Copenhagen hubs. Travel managers expect competitive fares, as Wizz Air currently dominates the Gdańsk–Oslo market and Ryanair serves Brussels-Charleroi, but neither LCC flies to Brussels’ main Zaventem airport.

Gdańsk airport handled a record 6.4 million passengers in 2024 and is expanding its terminal to cope with 9 million by 2027. Airport CEO Tomasz Kloskowski said the LOT deal “confirms our strategy of attracting full-service carriers to complement LCC volume.”

Business travellers should note that LOT will operate Embraer E-jet aircraft offering both business and economy cabins, with through-ticketing to Star Alliance partners via Brussels and Oslo. Corporate contract rates can be negotiated from January 2026.
