Air France has announced that, from 29 March 2026, it will operate two daily Airbus A220 flights between Paris-Charles de Gaulle and London Gatwick, complementing its existing six-daily Heathrow service and bringing the carrier’s UK network to 300 weekly flights across six destinations.
The schedule is designed to offer early-morning and late-evening departures in both directions, giving business travellers same-day return options and optimised connections through the CDG hub. Tickets will go on sale next week, and Flying Blue members will earn standard mileage credits on the new route.
For mobility managers, Gatwick provides an alternative for staff based in London’s southern catchment area, potentially shortening ground-transfer times compared with Heathrow. It also diversifies contingency planning during Heathrow’s frequent capacity crunches. Air France will deploy the 148-seat A220 featuring 3-2 seating and on-board Wi-Fi—assets likely to appeal to premium short-haul flyers.
The announcement comes as carriers jostle for slots ahead of the UK’s Summer 2026 season, and follows Air France’s plans to add a seventh daily CDG-Heathrow rotation and to maintain year-round service to Cork, Milan-Linate and Tanger over the winter. Companies with heavy UK–France traffic should update travel policies and preferred-carrier agreements accordingly.
