IndiGo announced on 19 November 2025 that it will launch the first nonstop service between Indore and Rewa on 22 December, providing Madhya Pradesh with a new intra-state air link just in time for the year-end travel peak .
The ATR-operated flight will depart daily, plugging Rewa—best known for its white-tiger safari—into IndiGo’s 100-plus-destination network and offering same-day connections to Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad. Rewa becomes IndiGo’s sixth station in the state after Bhopal, Gwalior, Indore, Jabalpur and Khajuraho.
For corporates with operations in central India, the route cuts an eight-hour road journey to just over one hour of flight time, enabling same-day plant visits and faster emergency response. Local authorities expect the service to stimulate tourism and small-business trade in the Vindhya region.
IndiGo’s CEO Pieter Elbers said the airline will continue to “support aspirational travellers in Tier-II and Tier-III cities,” a strategic thrust that dovetails with the Indian government’s UDAN regional-connectivity scheme. Mobility managers should watch for introductory fares that could be cheaper than car-and-driver options for project teams.
