Transit Visa Free Program For Indian and Chinese Travelers
Travelers with Chinese and Indian passports traveling to Kazakhstan do not need transit visas if they stay in the country for 72 hours or less and are traveling through Almaty International Airport or Nursultan Nazarbayev International Airport. They must hold a valid air ticket and travel with any Kazakhstan-owned airline. They will also be required to hold valid passports or resident permits for the country they are traveling to.

In 2019 the Kazakh government unveiled a new visa program called the electronic visa. This online visa is issued to foreign nationals who have an invitation letter issued to them by the Migration Service. The only approved routes for e-visa holders are Almaty and Nursultan Nazarbayev International Airports.
