Schengen Digitises Borders: EU Confirms 10 April ‘Switch-On’ for Biometric Entry/Exit System
The European Commission has set 10 April 2026 as the definitive date for full activation of the biometric Entry/Exit System, ending passport stamping for non-EU nationals entering or leaving the Schengen Area, including France.
