To maintain essential links with the Gulf amid regional airspace closures, Air India and Air India Express will run 58 combined flights on 12 March, adding 40 ad-hoc rotations to scheduled services. The capacity boost should ease bottlenecks for Indian expatriates and companies with operations in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Oman, though longer routings and a new fuel surcharge will keep costs elevated.
