UK Statement of Changes Expands BN(O) Route and Confirms 1,000 Youth-Mobility Places for Hongkongers
The UK’s latest Immigration Rule changes make adult children who were under 18 on 1 July 1997 eligible for the BN(O) route and confirm that 1,000 Youth Mobility Scheme slots will again be available to Hongkongers in 2026. Applicants will also benefit from biometric re-use via the ID Check app, reducing processing friction. The reforms widen the UK talent pipeline from Hong Kong and give employers more recruitment and retention options.
