China broadens visa-free entry and streamlines tax refunds to woo foreign visitors
Beijing has extended its 30-day visa-free entry scheme to 45 countries and slashed VAT-refund red tape at departure gates. The twin moves are already stimulating inbound travel and retail spending, giving businesses new flexibility to schedule last-minute trips and encouraging foreign tourists to shop more while in China.
