Prague Airport Debuts Premium Private Check-in and Fast-Track Lane for Schengen Flyers

Prague Airport Debuts Premium Private Check-in and Fast-Track Lane for Schengen Flyers
Business and premium leisure travellers departing Prague now have a new way to beat holiday queues. On 1 December 2025 Václav Havel Airport quietly opened a bundled “Private Check-in Service” in Terminal 2, the hub for Schengen-area flights. For a flat fee of CZK 1,950 (€79) passengers hand their passport and baggage to a dedicated agent, relax in the refurbished FastTrack Lounge, and clear security through an exclusive lane that bypasses the main checkpoint. Children under three travel free; those aged 3-14 pay a reduced CZK 720.

The product is the first visible element of the airport’s “Ready for the Future” strategy, which aims to smooth passenger flow before EU biometric requirements bite in 2026. Six new CT X-ray scanners already allow customers to keep laptops and liquids in their bags; the Private Check-in package goes a step further by removing the need to queue at traditional airline counters.

Early corporate adopters include investment group PPF and automaker Škoda Auto, both of which operate dense shuttle schedules to Munich, Paris and Warsaw. International law firms in Prague say the predictable transit time will help lawyers fit same-day meetings in Frankfurt and Vienna without risking missed flights.

From a policy standpoint, the move underscores how airports are monetising passenger segmentation just as the EU tightens security. Travel managers should update expense policies to clarify whether the CZK 1,950 fee is reimbursable and remind staff that the service applies only to Schengen departures from Terminal 2. Long-haul flyers using Terminal 1 will still face standard queues and the new Entry/Exit biometric capture.

Airport management has hinted at a similar premium product for long-haul flights once Terminal 1 completes its upgrade in late 2026. In the meantime, online reservations can be made up to two hours before departure, and the fee covers two checked bags (23 kg each) plus lounge amenities such as showers, high-speed Wi-Fi and light catering.
