Air France inaugurates non-stop Phuket–Paris service, boosting winter connectivity
Air France has officially launched a thrice-weekly non-stop route between Phuket and Paris-Charles-de-Gaulle, operated by a 328-seat Boeing 777-200. The inaugural flight departed Phuket on 28 November and the commercial roll-out was announced on 1 December. Flights leave Phuket every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday, with returns from Paris on Monday, Thursday and Saturday.

The new service gives France its second direct Thai gateway after Bangkok and plugs a long-standing network gap for leisure and MICE traffic. French tourism officials estimate that Thai arrivals could rise 15 % this winter, while Air France-KLM says the route strengthens its Southeast Asia coverage to 27 weekly flights.

For corporate mobility teams the direct link shortens door-to-door journey times by three to five hours compared with one-stop Gulf or European hubs. Companies relocating staff between Thailand’s booming Andaman tech corridor and France’s aerospace, luxury and hospitality clusters gain a faster, single-carrier option, easing travel-policy compliance and cost forecasting.

The launch comes as Air France-KLM presses ahead with fleet renewal and a sustainability pledge to cut CO₂ per passenger-kilometre 30 % by 2030. The group says the 777-200’s upgraded cabins and SAF (sustainable aviation fuel) blending underscore its premium-plus environmental positioning on long-haul leisure routes.
