What You Need To Apply For An ETA
You will need the following to complete the online application form.
Passport
You need a passport with at least 6 months validity and 2 blank pages. Only machine-readable biometric passports are accepted because the ETA is electronically linked to them.
Email Address
Approved Etas will be forwarded to the email address the applicant provided. This is the only means to access the ETA, so the applicant must provide a valid email address.
Debit or Credit Card
A debit or credit card is required to pay the application fee. Endeavor to fund the card with sufficient funds to cover the cost.
Proof of Funds
Proof of funds is required as the authorities wish to know if the applicant has the financial capacity to sustain themselves during their stay in Canada.
At the arrival point, immigration officers will request a health certificate. The applicant must provide a negative COVID-19 test taken at least 72 hours before taking the flight or a vaccination certificate showing that they received the vaccine at least 14 days before their arrival.
