Austrian Airlines grounds Middle East services as Iran conflict shuts regional airspace
After multiple Middle-East states shut their airspace in response to U.S.–Israeli strikes on Iran, Austrian Airlines has suspended flights to Tel Aviv, Amman, Erbil, Tehran and Dubai. Vienna airport expects widespread delays, and the Foreign Ministry has activated a crisis cell and issued its highest travel warning for the region. The disruption will lengthen Europe-Asia routings, trigger duty-time complications and raise insurance costs – a major concern for Austrian businesses moving staff or cargo through the Gulf.
