Czechia confirms EU Digital Identity Wallet will cover legally-resident foreigners
Czechia will adopt the EU Digital Identity Wallet by 2027 and, crucially, will extend access to all legally-resident non-EU nationals. Foreign assignees will be able to prove identity and sign contracts from their phones, cutting red tape for employers and service providers. The system will run in parallel with physical residence cards during a transition phase.
