Germany extends border controls with Czechia and other neighbours until 15 September
Berlin has prolonged its land-border checks—including those on the Czech frontier—until 15 September 2026. The move means continued random passport and document inspections, adding delays for cross-border commuters, business travellers and freight heading to Germany.
