Thailand overhauls visa regime: 60-day visa-free entry and new ‘Destination Thailand Visa’ to court Indian visitors
On 13 February 2026, Thailand approved wide-ranging visa reforms: Indian nationals will enjoy 60-day visa-free stays, access an expanded online e-Visa system and, from Q2, can apply for a multi-entry ‘Destination Thailand Visa’ tailored to remote workers. The overhaul simplifies codes, digitises arrivals and is expected to boost Indian tourism and business travel.
