UK confirms switch to eVisas only for visa-required visitors from 25 February
UKVI confirmed that, with immediate effect for applications and for travel from 25 February 2026, all visa-required visitors will hold only a digital eVisa. Physical visa stickers are being scrapped as part of the UK’s border digitisation. Employers must ensure sponsored travellers register for a UKVI account and carry the same passport used for the online application.
