China Rail slashes fares—tickets on off-peak routes discounted to 20 percent of full price
From 8 February China Rail is offering up to 80 percent discounts on selected off-peak routes, part of a strategy to balance Chunyun passenger flows. The cut-price fares can trim corporate-travel costs but come with stricter refund rules and could divert international travellers to secondary hubs.
