Finland will expand the EU’s biometric Entry/Exit System from Helsinki-Vantaa to four Lapland airports in February 2026, just in time for the winter-tourism rush. Automated kiosks will register fingerprints and facial images of non-EU travellers, tightening overstay control and requiring employers to track business-trip days more closely.
