Poland’s Border Guard reports 114 illegal Belarus crossings and 63,000 internal-Schengen checks in one week
MSWiA’s weekly bulletin shows 114 illegal attempts to cross from Belarus, six smuggling arrests and 63,000 ID checks at the German and Lithuanian borders between 21-27 November. With 1,100 residence audits and 600 workplace inspections also carried out, Poland is doubling down on migration control ahead of the holiday travel rush. Employers and mobility managers should expect continued spot checks and heavier fines for documentation errors.
