EU Adopts Faster Visa-Free Suspension Rules—Immediate Implications for Austria
The Council of the EU on 17 November approved stricter rules that allow the bloc to suspend visa-free travel more quickly and for longer periods. As a Schengen member, Austria must enforce any suspension immediately, meaning companies should prepare for short-notice visa requirements affecting non-EU business visitors.
