Cyprus-Israel Gas Pipeline Deal Sets Stage for Surge in Cross-Border Energy Talent
Cyprus and Israel agreed on 16 November to move forward with a €3 billion gas-pipeline-and-LNG hub that will bring an influx of foreign engineers and skilled workers to Cyprus over the next four years. The project will pressure immigration workflows, drive business-travel demand and test Cyprus’ readiness for the EU Entry/Exit System ahead of its planned Schengen entry. Companies involved should start mobility planning immediately.
