Dubai-based Jetex, a leading fixed-base-operator (FBO) and trip-support provider, confirmed on 14 November that it will enter the Italian market with "Jetex Milan", a new private-aviation terminal at Milano Linate Prime Airport. The facility—less than seven kilometres from the city centre—will feature boutique lounges, on-site customs and immigration desks, crew rest suites, pet-handling zones and 24/7 concierge services aimed at high-net-worth flyers, corporate shuttles and charter brokers.
Jetex says construction is already under way and the FBO will be operational by February 2026, well ahead of the expected traffic surge surrounding the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics. The company is partnering with airport operator SEA Prime to integrate its terminal with existing apron space, offering direct ramp access for VIP vehicles and room for wide-body business jets such as the Gulfstream G700. A dedicated customs corridor is designed to shorten clearance times to “under five minutes” for Schengen and non-Schengen arrivals alike.
For corporate-mobility managers, the new FBO adds capacity in one of Europe’s busiest business-aviation markets. Milan already handles 23,000 private-jet movements annually, but slots at Linate Prime are constrained during trade-fair peaks. Jetex says its arrival will increase apron capacity by 15 per cent and offer new hangarage bundles that combine aircraft parking with crew accommodation at selected city-centre hotels.
The move also reflects a wider trend of premium FBO investments across Italy: SEA is expanding facilities at Malpensa, while Signature Flight Support is upgrading its Venice Marco Polo lounge. Together, the projects aim to position Italy as a gateway for ultra-long-haul private traffic connecting North America, the Middle East and Asia ahead of Expo 2030 Rome and Jubilee Year pilgrim flows.
Jetex Milan promises tailored entry-clearance assistance, including on-site immigration officers able to process diplomatic, Schengen C-type and short-stay D-type visas for crew and passengers. Companies relocating senior executives to Lombardy will gain a one-stop service for aircraft handling, ground transport and concierge relocation support, streamlining VIP assignments and incentivising direct investment in the region.
