International Arrivals Surge: Prague and Brno Airports Post Double-Digit Growth

International Arrivals Surge: Prague and Brno Airports Post Double-Digit Growth
Czech aviation and hospitality players received a welcome shot in the arm this summer, according to data released on 12 November. Václav Havel Airport Prague handled almost 11.5 million passengers between late March and the end of October—up 7.7 % year-on-year and the closest the hub has come to pre-pandemic volumes. Crucially for mobility planners, a record 54.5 % of travellers were international, underscoring the Czech capital’s rebound as a regional business-travel gateway.

Prague Airport executives attributed the uptick to route expansion: Etihad’s new Abu Dhabi service, Emirates’ return to Airbus A380 operations, and Condor’s twice-daily link to Frankfurt have deepened long-haul and feeder connectivity. The United Kingdom, Italy and Spain remained the top origin markets, while traffic from the UAE and Germany showed the fastest growth.

Secondary airports also benefited. Brno–Tuřany processed more than 660,000 passengers in the first nine months of 2025, with July and August each topping 155,000—both all-time records. The Moravian gateway served 36 summer destinations, bolstering options for companies with operations in the Brno technology corridor.

Hotel data paint a similar picture: national accommodation providers hosted 7.9 million guests in Q3, 42 % of them foreigners. German visitors led the pack (660,000), followed by Poland and Slovakia, but the UK and Austria posted strong gains. Prague alone welcomed more than 2.2 million guests, reaffirming its dominance in Central-European conference and incentive travel.

For corporate mobility teams, the figures translate into tighter seat availability on key European routes and upward pressure on hotel rates this winter. Travel managers are advised to lock in corporate allotments early and monitor further capacity announcements ahead of the 2026 IATA summer season.
