UK-France Channel Deal Doubles French Beach Patrols to Curb Small-Boat Crossings
Paris and London signed a fresh migration-control pact on 11 November 2025. French beach patrols will double and new drones and radars will be rolled out from 1 December, funded mainly by the UK. Businesses moving goods or people through Calais and Dover should prepare for more spot checks and minor journey-time extensions. The deal’s success will be judged during the 2026 peak season.
