Jordanians looking to travel to Italy must acquire a Schengen visa Jordan Italy before making the trip to Europe. Application Form: The visa application form for Italy is mandatory. Jordanian Passport: You will need a valid Jordanian passport. The passport must have at least three months of validity after departing Italy. To be sure the passport meets the requirements, check the months left and subtract the time you will stay in Italy. If it will be less than three months, you will need to obtain a new passport before applying. Also, the passport should have at least two empty pages and must not be older than ten years.

Photograph: You need two photographs that satisfy Schengen photo guidelines. The photos must not be older than six months, must show your face clearly, and be printed on a white background.

Civil Status Certificate: You must provide a civil status certificate such as your family certificate, birth certificate, marriage certificate, or death certificate, depending on your situation.

Proof of Accommodation: The hotel or house where you will stay must be provided. You can book a hotel room in the Italian city where you will visit or submit proof of a house address or Air BNB. Hotels and Airbnb reservations can be done online.

Round Trip Itinerary: Book flight reservation for the two way trip to and from Italy. This will prove that you have every intention to leave Italy by the due date.

Travel Health Insurance: As per Schengen regulations, you will need travel health insurance coverage in case of medical emergencies. The insurance policy must provide a minimum cover of €30,000 or equivalent in Jordanian currency.

Visa Fee Receipt:  The visa fee receipt must be attached to the application as proof of payment. Without this fee, the application will not be processed.

Cover Letter: This letter duly written and signed by you must be submitted to the embassy fully explaining why you wish to visit Italy, howling you intend to stay, places of interest, and the arrival and departure date, among other key details.

Previous Visas: If you have been issued Schengen visas before, include them in your application.

Proof of Financial Means: Original copy of your bank account showing financial statements for the last 3-6 months. The account must contain sufficient money to cover your expenses while in Italy.

Note: For minors, their parents must submit the civil status certificate to prove their relationship or proof of parental consent if you are a guardian traveling with the child

Application Fee

The application fee depends on the applicant’s age. The standard fee is €80 for persons 12 years and above, but there is a 50% slash for children of 6-11 years who pay €40. Toddlers under age six are exempted from paying fees.

Visa application fees are separate from service fees charged by application centers, so bear this in mind.

When Should You Submit Your Application?

You should submit your application at least three weeks before the day you wish to travel. The average processing time for Schengen visas is 15 days, but there may be delays which will extend the waiting time.

Countries You Can Visit

Jordanians who hold Schengen visas are allowed to visit not only Italy but many other countries in Europe. All 27 Schengen countries are open to visa holders, and so are Bulgaria, Romania, and Cyprus. However, the Republic of Ireland and the United Kingdom are not open to visitors with Schengen visa Jordan Italy.
