The Italy Schengen visa Kuwait is a mandatory document that every Kuwaiti citizen must obtain before entering Italy or any other country in the Schengen zone. The Italian embassy in Kuwait City issues this visa, and it grants the holder multinational access to the 27 countries in Europe and a few others.
Why Do Kuwaiti Citizens Need Schengen Visas?
If you are a citizen of Kuwait, you will need a Schengen visa because your country is not on the visa exempt list. Only citizens from countries on the visa exempt list may enter Italy without a visa. The visa is valid for 180 days and is designed for short term visits, and visitors can stay for up to 90 days and transverse different parts of the country during the period. The embassy in Kuwait City has simplified the application process to ensure visitors can apply and get the visa in record time with as little stress as possible.
How Many Countries Can I Stay In For 90 Days?
Based on Schengen visa rules, Kuwait citizens can stay in Italy or any other country for 90 days. Due to the borderless policies of Schengen countries, visitors who possess this visa can visit all 27 countries in the zone, including non-Schengen countries like Cyprus, Romania, and Bulgaria. However, the 90 days rule still stands. This means that regardless of whether the visitor stays in Italy alone or adds other countries to their itinerary, they must not spend more than 90 days, counting from the very first day they arrive in Europe.
Which Country Must I Visit First With An Italian Schengen Visa?
If you have been issued this visa and you plan to visit a few other countries, including Italy, you are mandated to visit Italy first before traveling to any other country on your itinerary. The primary destination rule is defined as the travel requirements which mandate the visa holder to visit the country that issued the visa first before any other country. Travelers who visit a different country first may encounter issues with the authorities for breaking the rules.
Forms Of Schengen Visa
There are different forms of Schengen visas, as explained below.
Single Entry Visa: The single entry visa can only be used once and becomes invalid after the holder enters Italy with it. Even if they exit before 90 days, the visa cannot be reused. Single-entry visas are best suited for single-entry Kuwaiti travelers.
Double Entry Visa: A double entry visa can be used to enter a Schengen country twice as long as it is still valid and the 90 days grace period has not been fully used. This one is ideal for people who may need to revisit not long after their first visit.
Multiple Entry Visa: A multi-entry visa is the best option for frequent travelers. If you have plans to visit Italy in the greater Schengen Area several times in six months, it is best to go for this one. A multiple-entry visa will save you the stress and waste of funds that would have been spent applying for new visas each time you want to travel.
When Is The Best Time To Submit Your Visa Application Form?
The best time to submit your visa application is at least 3-4 weeks before your trip. Although the average application processing time is 15 days, you don’t want a situation where your visa is delayed, and you’ll be forced to cancel your trip. Applying as early as possible is always best to avoid unforeseen occurrences.
