Tourist visa validity UAE

The tourist visa validity UAE refers to the length of time it takes before the visa expires. UAE tourist visas have different validity; some have 30 days validity while others have 90 days validity. Furthermore, there are single-entry visas and multiple entry visas, depending on the one you go for. Also, the visa can be extended twice for up to 30 days, each time without the need to leave the country.

Who Can Apply For A UAE Tourist Visa?

The United Arab Emirates tourist visa is for tourists from non-GCC countries and other visa-exempt countries who want to enjoy a nice time in the country. Applicants must be 18 years and above, but minors under 18 can travel with their parents, who must apply for the visa on their behalf. The 2018 Cabinet resolution states that minors traveling with their parents from the 15th of July to the 15th of September each year don’t have to pay for a visa as it is free.

The Multiple Entry Tourist Visa

The multiple entry tourist visas can be issued to eligible foreign nationals who would like to visit the UAE several times a year. This visa was introduced to facilitate the movement of tourists in and out of the country. The visa is valid for 5 years and allows self sponsored tourists to visit multiple times. A multiple-entry visa allows the holder to stay for 90 days, and once it is nearing its expiry date, the applicant can extend it for another 90 days.

UAE Tourist Visa Extension Cost

The UAE tourist visa extension can be extended for 30 days or 90 days twice, with the former for single entry visas and the latter for multiple entry visas. The cost of extending the tourist visa also differs. Renewals cost about 600 AED for every renewal. Failure to renew your visa will lead to a fine of AED 100 for each day you stay without a visa, but this fee is calculated for 10 days after expiry. But the rules don’t apply to tourists from GCC countries, residents that accompany GCC nationals, or those on special permits. The fine or rule for an extension doesn’t also apply to those on 96-hour special missions.
