Papua New Guinea business visa

A Papua New Guinea business visa is a travel permit issued to visitors coming to Papua New Guinea on business. This visa is for short-term visits to the island. Several business activities warrant the issue of this visa, and we explain some of them below.

Purchase goods or services: You may order this visa if you intend to visit the island to purchase goods or services.

Sell goods or services: The government allows importing items or services not produced on the island. If you are an importer or a service provider, you may visit Papua New Guinea on a business visa to market your products or services.

Support Infrastructural Project: If you wish to support an ongoing infrastructural project on the island already approved by the government.

Transact Business: Visitors can enter PNG to transact business with a company's authorized representative or an individual.

This visa has flexible features which allow the holder of the visa to visit for any reason as long as it is for commercial activities.

Types of Papua New Guinea Business Visa

There are two types of Papua New Guinea business visas issued to visitors, and we review them below.

Short Term Single Entry Visa: One is the short-term single entry visa that can only be used for single trips. Once a visitor enters the island with this visa, it cannot be used a second time. To re-enter, the visitor will have to apply for a new visa.

Short Term Multiple Entry Visa: The other is a multiple entry visa for multiple visits. Holders of this visa can visit PNG several times a year if their visas are valid and are best for frequent visitors. If you plan to visit PNG several times a year, you should apply for a multiple entry visa rather than the single entry visa.

Can Dependents Of Business Visitors Enter Papua New Guinea?

The authorities allow dependents of tourist visa holders to apply for visas on arrival at Port Moresby airports, but the same privilege is not accorded to business visitors.

Business Visa Criteria

Before applying for this visa, make sure you are aware of the criteria. Only those who meet the following criteria will be issued the visa
