How do I pay for my Togo visa

If I want to submit my application, how do I pay for my Togo visa? This is an important question because without paying the visa fee, you cannot apply to the embassy in your country. For anyone looking to enter the West African nation, this travel document is necessary for certain travelers from select countries that don’t require a visa for Togo.

Togo Visa Policy

Togo is a West African country with a visa policy guiding its issuance. This travel document is issued to travelers coming into the country and is determined by nationality, travel intention, and duration. Based on their policy, only a visa can grant persons not from visa exempt countries entry into Togo. Currently, 14 countries on the visa free list are co-members of the Economic Community of West African States.

Persons from these countries can enter Togo without holding visas, including two other countries.

The countries are Burkina Faso, Benin, Cape Verde, Ghana, Cote D’Ivoire, Gambia, Nigeria, Liberia, Mali, Guinea, Nigeria, Senegal and Sierra Leone, and Guinea Bissau. The other non-Ecowas countries with visa free entry into the country are South Africa and Romania.

If you are from any of these countries, you are free to enter Togo without a visa, but if you are not, having a visa is mandatory.

How To Get A Visa?

There are basically two ways to get a visa for Togo, namely.

Through The Embassy: The Togolese government has embassies in different countries of the world from where they conduct international relations and issue visas to applicants who want to visit their country. Those interested in visiting Togo may apply to any of these embassies. If an embassy is outside your country, you can apply through one in the nearest country.

At The Airport/Border Crossing: The second way to apply for a visa to Togo is at the airport or any of the major border crossings into the country. This option is open to all citizens of the world except citizens of Mauritania.

How Do I Pay For May Togo Visa?

Whether you are applying for a conventional Togolese visa or a visa on arrival, you will need to pay an application fee, but how do you do that? Well, the payment options will be determined by the embassy, which may be through credit or debit cards from online payment, cheques, money orders, or bank drafts. Some embassies may even accept cash and issue receipts to that effect.

If more than one payment option is available, you are free to choose the most convenient one for you, but if it is only one option, you have no choice but to use it.

Togo Visa On Arrival

The visa on arrival option is available to all visitors except travelers who are citizens of Mauritania. This option is for persons who do not have a visa but wish to enter the country. Visa on arrival is issued at the border or airport by officers of the Togolese immigration service. However, this visa only allows most foreign nationals to stay in Togo for only seven days, but they can extend it. Extensions are possible for up to 90 days if the visitor meets certain conditions.

The officers on duty will require a valid passport with at least six months left and two photographs. A return flight ticket, the visa fee, and photocopies of the main page of your passport. They will also request a yellow fever vaccination certificate and any other document to prove your intentions. Once these documents and the visa fee are provided, the visa will be issued, and you can enter the country. Should you decide to spend more than the seven days allowed, you will have to visit the immigration office in the city you live to apply for an extension.
