Flydubai to Move All Dubai–Riyadh Flights to Riyadh’s New Terminal 5 on 25 February 2026
Low-cost carrier Flydubai has confirmed that every flight on its busy Dubai International (DXB)–Riyadh (RUH) corridor will relocate to King Khalid International Airport’s newly inaugurated Terminal 5 from 25 February 2026.

The last services using the current Terminal 3—FZ 843/844—will depart early on 25 February, after which flights FZ 849/850 will inaugurate operations from the purpose-built low-cost terminal the same afternoon. Terminal 5 can handle up to 12 million passengers annually and features 30 self-service kiosks, biometric e-gates and a dedicated pier for narrow-body aircraft.

For corporate travel managers, the shift promises shorter minimum-connection times, especially for passengers linking to Saudia and other SkyTeam partners also moving into the facility. Riyadh is one of Flydubai’s top five business routes, carrying significant traffic for consulting firms, defence contractors and tech start-ups commuting between UAE free zones and the Saudi capital’s digital-economy clusters.

Meanwhile, travellers navigating differing entry requirements between the UAE and Saudi Arabia can streamline the paperwork by applying through VisaHQ, whose digital platform handles tourist and business visas for both countries and provides live support throughout the process—details at https://www.visahq.com/united-arab-emirates/

The relocation dovetails with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 strategy to transform Riyadh into a global aviation hub and aligns with Flydubai’s own fleet-growth plans: the airline receives the first of 30 737-MAX 10 aircraft in mid-2026, allowing more frequencies and potential up-gauging on the route.

Travellers should note that ground-transport links and lounge access may differ from Terminal 3; Flydubai has published updated maps and will email revised booking confirmations. Travel-management companies should update PNR remarks and traveller profiles to avoid mis-drops or missed flights once the switch takes effect.
