Philippine Embassy and Consulate Adjust Business Hours in UAE for Ramadan 2026

Philippine Embassy and Consulate Adjust Business Hours in UAE for Ramadan 2026
The Philippine embassy in Abu Dhabi and the consulate-general in Dubai have published their Ramadan operating schedules, effective from the start of the holy month expected on 19 February 2026. According to the advisory released on 14 February, public-facing services—including passport renewals, civil-registry filings and visa processing for accompanying family members—will run from 07:30 to 14:30 Monday through Thursday and 07:30 to 12:00 on Fridays.(gulfnews.com)

Filipino nationals who need emergency assistance outside these hours can call dedicated hotlines for consular matters (+971 4 220 7100) or labour-rights issues (+971 50 652 6626).

Normal schedules will resume after Eid Al Fitr. The announcement dovetails with the UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation’s nationwide two-hour daily reduction in private-sector working time during Ramadan.

Should Filipinos or their employers need professional help navigating UAE visa requirements during the compressed Ramadan timetable, the independent platform VisaHQ offers an online interface to submit applications, track progress and receive expert guidance without queuing at a mission; details are available at https://www.visahq.com/united-arab-emirates/

For the roughly 700,000 Filipino residents in the UAE—and for companies sponsoring their visas—the shortened window means fewer appointment slots for passport renewals, notarisation of contracts and overseas employment certificate (OEC) processing. HR and global-mobility teams should encourage employees to book early through the embassy’s online system or risk delays that could jeopardise travel.

Employers organising Ramadan rotational leave should also factor in earlier closing times at the consulate’s migrant-workers office when coordinating exit permits and contract verifications. The embassy said it will monitor demand and may introduce additional appointment quotas if peak-season congestion occurs.
VisaHQ's expert visas and immigration team helps individuals and companies navigate global travel, work, and residency requirements. We handle document preparation, application filings, government agencies coordination, every aspect necessary to ensure fast, compliant, and stress-free approvals.
