Jordan visa for Indian

Are you an Indian citizen, and do you have reasons to visit Jordan? If yes, you will need to apply for a Jordan visa for India. Jordan is a kingdom in the Middle East governed by a monarchy with very strict laws. Most foreign nationals who wish to visit the country require a visa from the Jordan Embassy, and they are advised to respect the local laws and traditions of the country during their stay or face deportation. To obtain a Jordan visa, there are certain requirements Indian citizens must meet before they can get a pass into the country.

Who Needs A Visa?

Indians and most foreign nationals need a pre approved visa before they can enter Jordan. Only citizens of other Arab states and a few other countries are allowed into Jordan without a visa.

Types Of Jordan Visa Indians May Apply For

As an Indian citizen, you are eligible to apply for the following visa types.

Tourist Visa: Do you want a Jordan pass to enjoy the sights and sounds of the ancient kingdom? You will need a tourist visa for this. There are resorts, desert Oasis and ancient ruins in Jordan that attract thousands of visitors annually. Also, the nightlife in Jordan is a sight to behold, as the capital city never sleeps.

Business Visa: If you have a business interest in Jordan, you can visit on a business visa. This visa is for those who want to attend a meeting or conference or those who want to engage partners or suppliers in the kingdom. Just like the tourist visa, this is a short-term visa.

Spousal Visa: Indians who wish to visit their spouse in Jordan may apply for a spousal Visa. This one is issued to wives or husbands of Indian expatriates in Jordan.

Student Visa: This visa is issued to Indian students who have gained admission into a tertiary institution in Jordan.

Family/Follower Visa: The family or follower visa allows the families of Indians living and working in Jordan to relocate to the kingdom to be with their spouse or parents. This visa essentially allows Indians to stay as a family unit if one of their relatives lives and works in Jordan.

Transit Visa: Transit visas are short-term visas for Indians transiting through Jordan en route to another country. It allows the holder to stay in Jordan for a few days before continuing their journey.

Work Visa: The work visa is for gainfully employed Indians in Jordan. After securing employment, they can apply for a work visa that qualifies them for a work and residency permit.

Visa By Duration

There are different visas issued by duration: namely single entry, double entry, and multiple entry. However, Indians can only get double and multiple entry visas from the Jordan embassy in New Delhi. The single entry visa is obtainable online.

Visa On Arrival

The visa on arrival is a special arrangement for Indians who arrive in Jordan without a visa. Since they are not allowed to enter the country without a visa, the government has made special arrangements for such travelers to obtain a visa at the airport so they can enter as legal visitors. The visa-on-arrival application form is available at Jordanian airports in the arrival section.

Jordanian E Visa or Jordan Pass?

Indians do not qualify for an e-visa, so they can’t apply for one, but they are eligible for a Jordanian pass. This pass is issued by the Tourism Board of Jordan and allows the holder to visit different tourist sites without the need to pay entrance fees. Holders may visit over 40 tourist sites at a discounted rate. If you wish to visit Jordan for your holidays, this is a package you may apply for.

Note: Indians may also apply for a visa extension before their current visa expires.
