Traveling To Ghana from The UK

Ghana and the United Kingdom share very close historic ties because of their colonial past. The British empire colonized the then-Gold Coast and many other African countries, and the relationship between both countries still holds to this day. Ghana is a member of the Commonwealth of Nations and is home to many UK expatriates and companies that operate within her borders. There are also many Ghanaians who have dual nationality by virtue of being born in the UK or schooled in one of many UK institutions of learning.

Ghana is also a tourist destination for British citizens who wish to leave home for warmer climes. Like most of West Africa, Ghana enjoys warm and sunny weather for most of the year. There are amazing tourist sites for fun seekers to enjoy, such as the beautiful beaches in Accra and Volta region and the famous Elmina Castle in Cape Coast. There are also luxurious hotels, bars, and restaurants where local, continental, and international dishes and beverages are sold. The nightlife in Accra is safe and welcoming for tourists and locals alike
