Egypt visa for Chinese

Chinese citizens are some of the most traveled global citizens, and Egypt has become a top destination in recent years. If you are a Chinese passport holder and you dream of visiting the land of the Pharaohs, you will need an Egypt visa for Chinese. Since China is not on the visa free list of the Egyptian government, citizens must obtain a visa before making the trip. Fortunately for visitors, the government has liberalized the entire process, which is why obtaining a visa has become much easier than ever before.

The E Visa Of Egypt

Before 2017 the only way to obtain an Egyptian visa was to approach the Egyptian embassy in Beijing to submit an application, but all that changed in 2017 with the introduction of the electronic visa program. This program modernized the visa issuance process, so travelers no longer had to wait for several days or weeks to have their applications processed.

The program is quick and easy; you can get your visa approved within days. E visas are processed online, so you don’t have to submit physical documents to get yours; only soft copies will suffice.

At this juncture, an Egypt tourist visa is only useful for short-term visits that will not exceed 30 days. If you plan to visit and stay in Egypt for more than 30 days, then we recommend you apply for a different visa type instead of this one. There are two types of e visas used for general visits and tourism, and they are the single entry and the multiple entry visa.

Single Entry Visa: A single entry e visa is valid for three months and can only be used once to enter Egypt. Once the visa is issued, you can only stay in the country for 30 days, after which you must leave. This one is for those who visit only once in a while.

Multiple Entry Visa: A multiple entry e visa is for those who enter Egypt multiple times. This one is valid for 180 days, but you can only stay for 30 days at a time. If you plan to visit regularly, this is the option.

It is important to note that, unlike other visa types, e visas are not extendable or renewable.

Once they expire, the visitor must re-apply for a new one.

What Do I Need To Apply For An Egypt Visa For Chinese

To get this electronic visa, it is mandatory to have a Chinese passport. The passport must be valid for at least six months from the day you enter Egypt. Let us review the requirements.

Valid Passport: As we pointed out above, you need a valid Chinese passport that will not expire in six months. The passport must also have at least two empty pages.

Email: A valid email address is required for receiving the visa once the application is approved.

Card: A debit or credit card for paying the visa fee

Your email is the only means of receiving the e visa, so be careful when you are typing it so you don’t drop the wrong email. Also, be very careful when filling out the application form and provide only valid information so you will not be rejected for the visa. Once the visa is issued, please print it out from your email address and travel with a copy to Egypt, and present it to the immigration officers at the arrival point as evidence. They will check it, stamp your passport and let you in.
