Immigration Office to close on 10 November; filings may shift to online queue
The Office for Foreigners (UdSC) announced on 5 November that its Warsaw headquarters and regional branches will be closed on Monday, 10 November. The closure results from the Prime Minister’s decision to grant civil-service staff a compensatory day off after All Saints’ Day fell on a Saturday this year.

Foreign nationals planning to submit residence-permit applications, collect biometric cards or attend asylum interviews next Monday must reschedule via the MOJA–Cudzoziemiec online booking system. While the building on Taborowa 16 will remain shut, the medical point for asylum-seekers will operate from 08:00–16:00.

Because 11 November is Poland’s Independence Day (a public holiday), the closure effectively creates a four-day weekend for state offices, potentially extending processing times. Companies with employees on time-sensitive national-visa or Blue-Card filings should adjust start dates and warn assignees of longer queues once offices reopen on 12 November.
