LOT Schedules One-Off Boeing 777 Charter from Madrid to Warsaw for Late-November Peak

LOT Schedules One-Off Boeing 777 Charter from Madrid to Warsaw for Late-November Peak
LOT Polish Airlines quietly filed a schedule update on 4 November 2025 showing an unusual wide-body deployment: a single Boeing 777-200ER will operate flight LO 2804 from Madrid to Warsaw on 27 November. The aircraft, wet-leased from Spanish carrier Privilege Style, departs Madrid (MAD) at 16:05 and lands in Warsaw (WAW) at 19:30 local time.

Why the one-off? Industry sources say corporate demand around Black Friday logistics meetings and Warsaw’s burgeoning tech-conference calendar has pushed load factors above 95 %. LOT’s standard Boeing 737 MAX 8s on the Madrid route seat 189 passengers; the 777 more than doubles capacity to 376 seats and offers true lie-flat business class—an attractive perk for Spain-based executives shuttling to headquarters in Poland.

For mobility managers, the ad-hoc wide-body is a reminder that LOT will increasingly use short-term wet-leases to plug capacity gaps until its delayed 787-9 deliveries arrive in 2027. Travellers booked on LO 2804 should receive automatic re-seat notifications; corporate contracts will be honoured, but seat maps have changed, so advance seat selection is advised.

Cargo holds will also benefit. Forwarders report that e-commerce volumes from Iberia to Central Europe spike in late November; the 777’s belly space can absorb an extra 20 tonnes—helpful given ongoing trucking delays at the German–Polish border.

Although the flight is officially “one-time,” analysts expect similar tactical up-gauges on other European city-pairs during holiday peaks. Travel buyers should monitor LOT’s timetable and be prepared for last-minute aircraft swaps that could affect cabin classes and baggage allowances.
