PKP Intercity timetable for 2025/26 adds Berlin and Lithuania links for Lubuskie region

PKP Intercity timetable for 2025/26 adds Berlin and Lithuania links for Lubuskie region
National operator PKP Intercity published its 2025/2026 timetable on 31 October, revealing a significant boost to international connectivity for Poland’s western Lubuskie province. Gorzów Wielkopolski will see five daily pairs of direct trains to Poznań—up from two—and two pairs to Warsaw, while Zielona Góra gains an eighth permanent service to Wrocław.

Crucially for cross-border mobility, the new schedule introduces a seventh daily Berlin–Warsaw Express pair that will also carry through-coaches from Lublin and Przemyśl, giving eastern Polish cities a one-seat ride to Germany’s capital. An entirely new IC ‘Wigry’ service will connect Szczecin with Mockava, providing the province’s first one-ticket rail option to Lithuania and opening a rail corridor to the future Rail Baltica network.

PKP says the expanded offering is possible thanks to ongoing electrification and double-tracking of Line 3 between Poznań and Zbąszynek, a project co-financed by EU cohesion funds. Travel-policy analysts expect the new frequencies to encourage modal shift from car to rail for corporate travellers shuttling between western Poland and Berlin’s technology cluster. The direct link to Lithuania also facilitates staff rotations for Polish firms operating in the Vilnius free-economic zone.

While the timetable takes effect in mid-December, seat reservations open next week, allowing mobility managers to lock in early-bird fares. PKP Intercity says further service increases may follow in June once infrastructure works conclude.
