Chandigarh Airport’s Winter Schedule Adds Kullu, Leh and North Goa Links—No New International Flights

Chandigarh Airport’s Winter Schedule Adds Kullu, Leh and North Goa Links—No New International Flights
Travellers in North India will gain three domestic connections this winter as Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport, Chandigarh, published its 2025-26 schedule on 27 October. From 30 October, Alliance Air will fly thrice weekly to Kullu and Leh, while IndiGo introduces a daily service to North Goa’s Mopa airport.

Airport CEO Rakesh Kumar said the additions raise total daily movements to 55 but confirmed that the long-awaited second Dubai rotation and proposed Singapore charter remain shelved pending completion of runway repairs (the airport is closed to fixed-wing traffic until 7 November for resurfacing).

For Himachal Pradesh’s hospitality sector, the Kullu flight is a lifeline: last winter 68 per cent of hotel bookings in Manali originated from the Chandigarh catchment. Leh connectivity, meanwhile, supports defence contractors and IT hardware suppliers serving Ladakh’s data-centre projects, which have tight winter-stocking windows.

The North Goa link caters to both leisure travellers and pharmaceutical executives commuting between Zydus’ Goa plant and R&D centres in Baddi. Travel buyers say a direct flight trims the door-to-door journey by four hours compared with a Delhi connection, making day trips feasible.

Mobility planners should note that the airport will resume operations on 8 November with temporary runway length restrictions (9,000 ft), limiting the field performance of wide-bodies and capping any near-term international expansion.
