What Is The Pakistan e Visa For South Koreans?

The Pakistan e-visa is an electronic visa that grants holders access to Pakistan. This visa serves as an alternative to the usual traditional visa issued to foreign nationals. The visa is an online visa introduced by the government of Pakistan in December 2018 to simplify the visa application process for South Korean citizens who wish to visit travel to Pakistan to stay for a short while.

Types Of Pakistan e Visa

There are two types of Pakistan e-visa: the tourism e visa and the one for business travel. The former is solely for visitors coming to Pakistan for tourism and is further divided into two types. Both allow the holder to stay for 30 days but are valid for one month and three months, respectively. The business e-visa is a multiple-entry visa valid for 5 years and allows the holder to stay for 30 straight days per visit. Holders can use it to enter Pakistan several times a year until it expires.

The good thing about the e-visa program is that the applicant doesn’t have to visit the Pakistani embassy in Seoul or any of the consular offices to apply in person. They can fill out the online application form from the comfort of their home and submit it. Besides the ease of application, the processing time is quite fast, as it only takes about 14 days or less to get the visa.

Pakistan E Visa by Entry Types

South Korean passport holders may apply for the following visa types by entry.

Single entry: This one only allows the holder to enter Pakistan just once and stay for 30 days. It is the shortest Pakistan tourist visa by timeframe and is valid for 30 days, counting from the date it is issued.

Single entry 2: This second single-entry e-visa allows the holder to enter and stay in Pakistan for 30 days but is valid for 90 days.

Multiple entry;  The multiple entry visa is valid for 5 years, and holders can only stay in the country for 30 days per visit, but they can visit as many times as they wish.

The single-entry visa type is for those who wish to visit the country only once, especially for tourism or to visit family and friends. If you want to visit for emergency purposes for a short time, you may opt for the 30-day Pakistan visa, valid for 30 days.

For business persons who frequent Pakistan regularly, the multiple entry visa is the one to go for.
