Dublin consulate opens one-day email window for Czech visa appointments
Irish-based travellers eyeing a trip to Prague have just six hours to secure a slot. The Czech Embassy in Dublin has allocated 13:00–19:00 (local time) on 22 October 2025 for email requests seeking Schengen-visa appointments on 5 November. The embassy’s online notice reminds applicants that the queue is randomised rather than first-come, first-served.

Only requests that meet strict subject-line and documentation rules will be considered; incomplete emails are auto-rejected. The embassy says the system, introduced last year to curb broker abuse, has cut duplicate bookings by 60 per cent. Business-travel consultants warn clients to prepare PDF scans of passports, insurance and itinerary details in advance.

Czech trade offices report rising demand from Irish SMEs following the launch of direct Ryanair flights to Prague, making timely visa access critical. The next booking window will not open until 29 October for mid-November appointments, so missing the 22 October slot could derail early-month travel plans.

Applicants should receive confirmation—or refusal—within three working days. Those denied are urged not to reapply until the next window to avoid blacklisting.
