Types of Azerbaijan e-Visas
For different purposes, Azerbaijan offers different types of e-visas, such as:
Tourist e-Visa - Foreigners can apply for a tourist e-visa if they want to visit Azerbaijan for tourism purposes, such as spending vacations, meeting friends or family members, and exploring the country.

To apply for an Azerbaijan visa online, all you need to do is follow three simple steps:

Afterward, you'll get your single-entry electronic visa via email. Keep in mind that an e-visa does not guarantee your entry into the country; the immigration official has the final say!
Required Documents
Azerbaijan started the ASAN visa system to simplify the visa application process. While applying for an e-visa, applicants don’t have to submit dozens of documents. Instead, there are only a handful of documents needed to get an e-visa. Here are the basic Azerbaijan visa requirements:
Valid Passport - First of all, you'll need your original passport to provide some passport details. Make sure your passport has at least 2 blank pages and 6 months of validity remaining.
E-mail Address - You'll also need an email address to submit your visa application. Your email address will be electronically linked to your passport, so make sure it is active and working.
Means of Payment - To get your e-visa, you'll need to pay both the embassy fee and visa service fee. As this entire process is online, you'll need online payment options, such as a credit or debit card.
These three are the most basic documents to apply online for an e-visa. Besides these, you'll need some additional documents, depending on your purpose of visit and nationality. Additional documents might include a health declaration form, COVID-19 vaccination certificate, itinerary, and bank statement.

Processing Time
It is recommended to submit your application at least 3 days before traveling to Azerbaijan. On average, the processing time for an Azerbaijan ASAN visa can fall anywhere between 24-72 hours.
Azerbaijan e-Visa Validity Period
Whether you are applying online for a tourist e-visa or a business one, you'll be able to stay in Azerbaijan for 30 days. This is a single-entry visa that stays valid for 90 days.
Azerbaijan online visa cannot be extended. So, if your visa expires, you'll need to leave the country and apply for a new one. Alternatively, if you want to stay in the country for a longer period of time, you'll need to apply for a traditional visa.
Unlike an e-visa, foreign nationals cannot apply for a traditional visa online. To get a traditional visa, you must visit the Azerbaijan embassy located in your country and submit the visa application form in person. If you have to apply for a traditional visa, make sure to submit your application at least 3 weeks before the actual departure date!
