E visas are solely for tourists, and it takes only a few days to approve. You don’t have to visit the Armenian embassy with original copies of your documents and passport to get one. All documents can be scanned and uploaded onto the visa application portal. If you wish to visit and stay in Armenian for six months and above or your purpose of visiting is besides tourism, this electronic visa will not suffice.

Types of Armenian Visa

Official visa: An official visa is issued to Egyptian diplomats working at the embassy in Yerevan or those invited by the Armenian government. He can also issue to family members of diplomats working in the country. An Armenian official visa for official passport holders may be single or multiple entries, with the former valid for 1 year and the latter valid for 3 years.
Transit Visa: A Transit visa is for Egyptian citizens who may decide to make a stop in Armenia before continuing their trip to their final destination. This visa allows the h holder to stay in Armenia for three days with an extra day extension but to qualify; you must provide flight tickets to three countries (Egypt, Armenia, and the country you are going).
