• Personal belongings for the trip, such as used clothes, footwear and jewellery, up to two mobile phones, up to two laptops, one camera and one video camera, and 500 ml of eau de toilette or 100 ml of perfume.
• Other goods (except alcohol and tobacco) worth up to EUR 500 and weighing up to 50 kg when entering by land (road or rail). The limit through airports is EUR 1,000, but Ukraine's airspace is currently closed.
• Goods above these limits but worth no more than EUR 10,000 must be declared in writing; 10% import duty and VAT are charged on the part above the limit.
• For travelers aged 18 or older: 200 cigarettes or 50 cigars or 250 g of tobacco (or a mix of these up to 250 g).
• For travelers aged 18 or older: 1 L of spirits over 22% alcohol, 2 L of wine and 5 L of beer.
• Food for your own use worth up to EUR 200: one manufacturer's package or up to 2 kg of each kind of packaged food, up to 2 kg of each kind of unpackaged food, and one piece of each kind of indivisible ready-to-eat product.
• Medicines for personal use: up to 5 packages of each medicine, or the quantity shown on a prescription issued in your name.
• The goods, alcohol, tobacco and food allowances apply only if you enter Ukraine no more than once in 24 hours. Alcohol and tobacco are not duty-free for travelers who have been out of Ukraine for less than 24 hours.
Currency
• Cash (Ukrainian hryvnia or foreign currency) and banking metals worth less than EUR 10,000 in total may be brought in without a written declaration.
• Amounts of EUR 10,000 or more must be declared in writing to customs in full (red channel).
Prohibited
• Narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances (medicines containing them must be declared in writing)
• Food and agricultural products (goods of customs groups 1 to 24) beyond the personal allowances above
• Cultural objects that are listed as wanted (stolen)
Restricted
• Pets must be declared in writing (red channel) with the original international veterinary health certificate from the country of departure. Dogs, cats and ferrets need an ISO microchip and a current rabies vaccination; pets from some countries, including the United States, also need a rabies antibody (titer) test.
• Firearms, ammunition, air guns and bladed weapons may be brought in only with a permit from the National Police of Ukraine, applied for at least 5 days before travel.
• Cultural objects made 50 or more years ago must be declared in writing, whatever their value.
• Securities, and goods that need a permit from a Ukrainian authority, must be declared in writing.
• Vehicles and other goods that must be registered in Ukraine must be declared in writing, whatever their value.
